Ms. Stefanik’s background immediately caught my attention – as a Harvard alumna herself, her criticism of the institution carries a weight that an outsider’s simply wouldn’t. I found it compelling that her passion against antisemitism and campus indoctrination was deeply personal, shaped by watching her own alma mater deteriorate from the inside.

What I Learned

That conviction is most powerful when it’s rooted in something personal. Ms. Stefanik isn’t speaking from a distance – she’s responding to an institution she loved and feels has lost its way. That stuck with me because my own drive to work in law comes from the same place: my Catholic faith and a genuine desire to serve others out of love for Jesus, not just ambition.

My Take

What struck me most was her willingness to fiercely defend Jewish students despite differing faith backgrounds – a reminder that standing for what’s right doesn’t require agreement on everything. As a Catholic girl myself, seeing someone carry that faith with such confidence and clarity of voice was genuinely inspiring. As a young girl and as a Catholic, I am constantly told that I am “too young to be interested in law” and that I should “stick to things age appropriate.” Not only did this interview teach me valuable lessons in effective communication, but it also taught me that a desire to make a change in the world does not have an age limit. Watching Ms. Stefanik speak with such conviction and clarity was a reminder that I am exactly where I’m supposed to be, and where God has placed me.

What I’d Do Differently

I’d ask how her faith has shaped her approach to the book and her broader mission of holding universities accountable. That thread felt implied but unspoken, and I think it would’ve made for a powerful exchange.
